Daisy Dean Chinn never married.
"He built a large stone house on a hill in the town of Middleburg (VA) and lived there. The house was destroyed by fire in 1870 and the present telephone exchange stands near its site". (Loleta N. Meyer).

August, 1848 - Richard W. Chinn was elected a County Justice.
November 1, 1849 - Judge Chinn of the County Court, having resigned, James B. Martin is appointed.
June 9, 1852 - Town of Ridgeley incorporated. Ben Smither, R.W. Chinn, Joseph Edwards, James
Dodd and O. Clark appointed as Trustees.
His name may have been Thomas Weeks Chinn.
Virginia Chinn was named "for the state of their American beginnings by her father James W. Chinn" -
Thomas Chinn was appointed surveyor from Big Branch above Leven Powell's to Goose Creek.
Thomas Chinn was one of the signers of a resolution adopted by a Public Meeting in Loudoun Co., held at Leesburg, VA, Court House on June 14, 1774. Sara Brent was examined as to her free consent on May 1, 1778 the 2nd year of the Commonwealth. Examiners reported July 23, 1778 - Rec. July 27, 1778.
1. The "Old Chinn Family Graveyard" is located just west of Middleburg, Loudon, VA, north of Hwy. 50. (Due north of the current residence of Bill & Betty Leach. 12/1/97.) "Richard Chinn died after a long illness. He had long foreseen the termination of his illness, and met death with heroic fortitude".
Richard Chinn served in the 8th US Regiment.

"Betsy" Chinn's gravestone reads: "Here is interred the body of Betsy Chinn, daughter of Thomas Chinn and Sara his wife, who was born Oct. 3, 1782 and departed this life Dec. 23, 1799 in the bloom of youth."
