Fidelia Currie died in infancy.


William Ball Col.

He was a Colonel of the militia, a Justice, and a Burgess (Mann, p. 7). He was a vestryman of Christ Church Parish. He served as surveyor of Northumberland Co., VA, 1724; He was a staunch and liberal supporter of the Established Church.

WILL OF ANN (CHINN) CHICHESTER - 1729:

In the name of God Amen I ANN CHICHESTER wife of RICHARD CHICHESTER of the County of Lancaster Gent. being sick and weake but of good and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to remembrance the uncertaine Estate of this my last will and Testament in Manner and form following, and first being Penitent and Sorry for my sins Past most Humbly Desiring my Forgiveness for the sam I give and commit my Soul unto Almighty God my Saviour and Redeemer and whom and by the merits of Jesus Christ I trust and believe Assuredly to be Saved, and to have rull remission and forgiveness of all my sins and the my Soul within my body at ye General Day of Resurrection I shall again with Joy through the merits of Christ's Death and Passion Possess and Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. My body to be buried in such manner as my Executor Hereafter named to appoint andnow for the Settling of my Temporal Estate as it hath Pleased God to bestow upon me I Doe order give and Dispose the same in Manner and Form following, First I will that all my Debts and Funeral Charges be fully paid. Imp. I give to my loveing husband RICHARD CHICHESTER all of ye money that I have in the hands of Mr. Edward Touder Merchant, in Plymouth.

Item I give unto my Aunt DOROTHA GREENHAM wife of JEREMIAH GREENHAM of Richmond County, Planter, my Suite of Silk Crape Clothes and a suit of Muslinhead Clothes with apron, Rufels thereunto belonging.

Item My will and Desire is that my Mulatto Girl named Mary which is now in possession of JEREMIAH GREENHAM and my Aunt DOROTHY his wife remain with my Aunt DOROTHY GREENHAM untill the said Mulatto Girl Mary shall arise to the years of twenty and one if my Aunt DOROTHY GRENNHAM shall live so long and in case my Aunt GREENHAM shall die before ye said Mulatto Mary sahll come to twenty and one years then my will is that my niece ELLEN HEALE have ye said Mulatto Mary until the said Mulatto arrives to twenty and one years and at the Expiration of Twenty and one my will and Pleasure is that the Mulatto Mary be free from all Persons whatsoever.

Item I give unto CAPT. GEORGE HEALE twenty shillings.

Item I give unto MR. WILLIAM PAYNE and his wife twenty shillings each.

Item I give unto GEORGE HEALE, JR., WILLIAM HEALE, JR., ANN HEALE, AND CATHERINE HEALE twenty shillings each.

Item I give unto ELLIN HEALE a new Suit of Black and White Poplin and a Suit of my best head Cloathes and Reufels.

Item I give unto JOSEPH CHINN, son of my brother RAWLEIGH CHINN, my negro Woman Moriah and her three children, viz. Hannah, Nanny and Ruth to him ye sd. JOSEPH CHINN and the heirs of his Body Lawfully begotten but if he the said JOSEPH CHINN shall die without such Heirs then my Will and Desire is that the said Negrom Woman Moria and her three daughters viz. Hannah, nanny and Ruth and their increase be Equally divided amongst my brother's children namely THOMAS CHINN, CHICHESTER CHINN, ANN CHINN AND SARAH ELLIN CHINN and their Heirs forever.

Item I give unto JOSEPH CHINN the one half of my Corn and Beans that shall be found upon my Hills Plantation.

Item I give to my brother RAWLEIGH CHINN my two negro Ladds namely Dublin and Cefis untill such time my nephew CHICHESTER CHINN shall come to the age of twenty and one years and then my will and Desire is that CHICHESTER CHINN have and enjoy my two negores Dublin and Cefis to him the saidn CHICHESTER CHINN and the Heirs of his body Lawfully Begotten forever but in case he Die without Such Heir, then my will is that JOHN CHINN have ye negro Dublin and RAWLEIGH CHINN son of my brother RAWLEIGH CHINN have and enjoy Cefis to them and their heirs forever.

Item I give to RAWLEIGH CHINN son of my brother RAWLEIGH CHINN twenty Shills.

Item I Give unto ANN CHINN all my Plate hereafter mentioned viz. one large Silver Tankard markt. or Ingraven ISA half a dozen Silver spoons and Silver ladle markt. ACA and one Silver Tumbler to her and her heirs.

Item I give to ANN CHINN one suit of my Cloathes and half a dozn. new Rusia Leather Chairs.

Item I give unto ELIZ. HEALE all the remainder of my Cloathes of the better sort.

Item I give unto Catharine Lindsey and Catherine Kirk all my usuall wearing Cloathes to be Equally divided between them.

Item I give SARAH HEALE three Silver Salts and my Side Saddle.

Item I give James Atchison Six Hundred Pounds of Tobacco to be Paid him out of the Crop made on the Hills Plantation.

Item I give unto my Brother RAWLEIGH CHINN Ten Pounds Sterling I have in the hands of Mr. William Dawkins Mercht. in London.

Item I give unto my brother RAWLEIGH CHINN all my crop of Tob. Corn and Beans that was made on the Hills Plantation except what before given to JOSEPH CHINN and James Atchison.

Item I give unto my Brother all residue of my Estate in what nature forever.

Item I Doe appoint my loveing Brother RAWLEIGH CHINN my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking all former wills and Deeds by me made and Do publish and Declare this the last as Witness my hand and Seale this Ninth day of Febry. One Thousand Seven Hundred twenty & five six.
