Hall Caile

Hall Caile, of Annapolis, MD.


Humphrey Brooke

Humphrey Brooke was the Clerk of Fauquier County, Virginia for thirty-six years, and in the State Senate from 1791 to 1802.


John Chilton Capt.

John Chilton, of "Rock Spring", Westmoreland Co., VA. Captain John Chilton, was killed at the Battle of Brandywine, in 1777. He was commissioned Lieutenant in Captain Moorehead's company of militia, Fauquier Co., VA, July 26, 1767. In 1775 he organized a company of volunteers from Fauquier Co., Va and on April 29, 1776, was commissioned Captain in the 3rd Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line. (Heitman's Historical Register, p. 154).
"He stood high for bravery and integrity of character, and was beloved and lamented by his comrades-in-arms and his aquaintenances generally." ("The Life of Washington", Marshall).


Thomas Chilton

Note about the Chilton family in America: In 1620 when the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock, Mary Chilton was the first to step ashore. This was some years in advance of the parliamentarian' emigration, but the same resolute spirit prevails and this was doubtless one and the same family. ("Genealogies of Virginia Families", Vol. I, p. 750)


Thomas Chilton

Thomas Chilton inherited the family estate of "Curryoman" in Westmoreland Co., VA. He had no children and the estate then went to Orrick, the eldest son of his brother William.


Gawin Corbin

Richard Corbin, of "Laneville", King & Queen Co., VA, President of the Virginia Council.


Jane Lane Corbin

Jane Lane Corbin died in infancy.


Robert Eustace Blackwell

Robert Blackwell, Professor at Randolph-Macon College, VA.


John Davenport Blackwell Rev.

Rev. John Davenport, of the M.E.C.S. served as Chaplain of the 18th VA Inf.


John Francis Blackwell

John Francis Blackwell was a teacher at the Female Seminary College in Staunton, Virginia.


William Brent Capt.

Capt. William Brent, of "Dumfries", Prince William Co., VA, and later of Fauquier Co., VA. He served with distinction as a Captain of Infantry in the Continental Army, Revolutionary War; took a prominent and active part in affairs of both church and state;


Alexander Brent

Alexander Brent was a midshipman on the cutter "Hornet", and took part in the War of Tripoli. He died at sea, unmarried, and was buried in Sicily.


Anne Brent

Miss Brent, at the time of her marriage to Henry Peyton, was from Fauquier Co., VA.


Christopher Neale Brent

Christopher Neale Brent died unmarried. He was a gallant soldier in the U. S. Army, and served against pirates of Morocco.
