Charles Chiswell was Clerk of the General Court in Virginia. He was a metalurgist.
Col. Peter Beverley resided in Gloucester Co., VA. he was Clerk of the House of Burgesses between 1691 and 1699. He was Speaker of the House of Burgesses between 1700 and 1714. He was Clerk of Gloucester Co., VA between 1702 and 1714. He was Treasurer of the Colony between 1710 and 1723. He was appointed Member of the Governor's Council in 1719.
Anne Beverley and her husband, Col. Henry Whiting, resided in "Elmington", Gloucester Co., VA.
Robert Bolling lived in the parish of Allhalloway, (or All Hallows), Barkin Parish, Tower Street, London, England. He was the first of the name who settled in Virginia. He arrived in the Colony, Oct. 2, 1660 and soon attained to fortune and prominence in affairs of both Church and State. In 1858, his remains were removed from "Kippax" to the mausoleum, at Blandford Cemetery, erected by his great grandson.
Theodorick Bland, the fourth son to emigrate to Virginia (from London, England), was the fifteenth child. He was baptized at St. Antholin's (London) on the 16th of January, 1629-30; was first a merchant with his brother, Edward, at St. Luca, Spain, then in the Canary Islands, and shortly after his brother's death in 1653, he came to Virginia. He purchased "Berkeley" and "Westover" where he lived; was Speaker of the House of Burgesses, 1659-60; member of the Council, 1666, "and was both in fortune and in understanding inferior to no person of his time in the country". He was buried at "Westover".
