Robert Behe(a)thland, Gentleman, came on the first of the three ships that landed at Jamestown, Virginia, 1607. (The Sarah Constant, The Goodspeed, and The Discovery). After accompanying Smith on the expeditions to negotiate with or to fight Indians, we see him ever afterwards referred to as "Captain Robert Behe(a)thland."
