William Thomas Brent, married Elizabeth Simmons in Fauquier Co., VA and became part of that mass migration to the southwest that swept so much of the population of Prince William and Fauquier Counties to Kentucky, Mississippi, and Missouri at the turn of the nineteenth century. He and Elizabeth moved, in 1798, to Washington Co., KY, and in 1803 to Trimble Co., KY.

"Marriages of Some Virginia Residents", Vol. 1, p. 175, indicates that the marriage of Charles Brent and Catherine Kirk, took place in December, 1791.
Lucy Brent Curd died unmarried. Jessamine Co., KY Court Records show inventoires of the estates of Lucy Curd, Elizabeth N. Curd, and William Curds (siblings) all dated 24 Aug 1824. It is probable that these three children died during an epidemic which raged in Kentucky in 1822. ("The Descendants of Hugh Brent", p. 112).
