Robert Alexander Dr.

Dr. Robert Alexander, of Prince William Co., VA married ________ Clarke, of South Carolina.


George William Brent

George William Brent, Major b. Alexandria (VA), 1821, son of George and Elizabeth (Parsons) Brent. Educated at Univ. of VA. Practiced law in Warrenton. State Senator, 1852-1853. Member, Board of Visitors, VMI, 1852-1853. Alexandria delegate to State Secession Convention, 1861. Commander 5/2/61, Major of Volunteers; assigned to the 17th Virginia Infantry to the Army of the West. Promoted to Lt. Col. and Colonel. Held staff positions under Gens. P.G.T. Beauregard, Braxton Bragg and James E. Slaughter. Practiced law in Alexandria, VA. Suffered injuries in the 1870 Captiol disaster at Richmond, VA. Died 1/2/72. He was a delegate to the Virginia secession convention, 1861.
