John Ballendine, and his wife Mary Blackburn, resided at "Rockledge" on the cliffs in Fairfax Co., VA, immediately across Occoquan Creek from the town of Occoquan which he founded in 1755. The many industrial activities of John Ballendine are spread upon the records of Prince William and Fairfax Counties.
