Frederick Ball moved from VA to Philadelphia, PA
Dr. Thomas Ball graduated M.D., Univ. Pa., 1796. thesis, "Causes and Effects of Sleep." He stood high in his profession. Served in the Virginia troops during the War of 1812 as Surgeon's mate, and died of the prevailing epidemic in the army, Nov., 1814.
William Brockenbrough (1650-1702), was the first of his family to emigrate to the American colonies of Great Britain. He came to the Massachusetts colony, then moved to Lunenburg Parish, Rappahannock (later Richmond) County. Brockenbrough Creek, for most of its length forms the line between Richmond and Westmoreland Counties, VA. (Source: Christopher F. Hutchins).
