Kenneth W. Brown

Obituary for Kenneth W. Brown: "Kenneth W. Brown, an 84-year-old resident of Weslaco, TX and former Trenton (MO) resident, passed away late Monday evening, July 15, 2002 at the McAllen Heart Institute in McAllen, TX.
The body was cremated and memorial services will be announced later by the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton.
Mr. Brown was born on May 8, 1918 at Mill Grove in Mercer County, the son of Dock and Amilia Egeland Brown. He was married to Thelma Louise Woodward in 1936 at Princeton (MO). He served in the United States Army during WWII. After his discharge, he traveled while working on construction jobs throughout the United States. The family moved to Trenton in 1951 to make their home and Mr. Brown worked as a carpenter for Ebbe Construction until he retired in 1981. After retiring, they spent the winters in Texas and had made their home in Weslaco, TX for the past year. He was a member of the Joseph L. Norton Post 919 VFW of Trenton and the Carpenters Trade Union in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Thelma Brown of the home in Weslaco, TX; one daughter, Billie Jo Kilgore of Wichita, KS; two sons, Kenneth Brown of Cameron, MO, and Robert Franklin Brown of Spickard, MO; one sister, Mildred Buchanan of Chillicothe, MO; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nancy Louise Brown in 1961; two brothers; and one sister." (Source: Trenton, Missouri newspaper).
