He was Clerk of the county between 1716 and 1745, Essex Co., VA. He was a member of the Council in 1751 in Virginia.
Richard Bland and his wife, Elizabeth Randolph, lived at "Jordon's Point", Prince George Co., VA. This property was also called "Jordans-on-the-James".
