Marcus L. Chinn, CSA, died during the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He served in Co. H, 8th Arkansas Infantry as a private.
He purchased 80 acres in Independence County, Arkansas on August 1, 1861.
He never married.
John Judson Chinn, CSA. He was possibly killed in the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, along with his brother Marcus L. Chinn.
John Henry Carr died on the trip, with his family, to Missouri in 1855.
William Henry Carr, served in the 9th MO Cavalry during the Civil War, under Gen. Odon Guitar. After the war he lived in: Osborn, MO; Winner, SD; and St. Joseph, MO.
Huldah was the first wife of Achilles Chinn. They were cousins at the time of their marriage.
Achilles Chinn served as a Sergeant in the 4th Regiment, (Mountjoy's), Mounted, Kentucky Volunteers, War of 1812.
From the Kentucky Gazette of Monday, July 12, 1790: Whereas my wife Milly Chinn has eloped from my bed and board, I hereby forewarn all persons from crediting her on my account, as I am determined to pay no debts she may contract after the date hereof. (June 30, 1790). CHRISTOPHER CHINN. He died in the Indian Territory on return trip from New Orleans ("a place he had visited with a couple of flat-bottome boatloads of produce on speculation") to Kentucky. - Letter of Judge Christopher chinn dated February 21, 1866.
