Ermine Cowles Case received a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Kansas, 1889-1893. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, 1893-1896. He was a Professor at Wisconsin State Normal School, 1897-1907. He was a professor of Geology and Paleontology at the University of Michigan, 1907-1941. He was Director of the Univ. of Michigan Museum of Paleontology, 1921-1941, and Chairman of the Department of Geology, 1934-1941.
